About Me...

Let me start by saying, "Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me." If you have made it here, I am assuming you have already looked at my work/resume and are curious about who I am, as a person. So here's a brief, little bio and some things that make me tick.

I grew up in the suburbs, south of Atlanta. Beginning my sophomore year of high school (The Tripod and Geocities Era), I began designing websites, t-shirts and stickers for friends' bands. I graduated from The University of Georgia and kicked around Atlanta for a few years freelancing web design, video editing and touring with my band.
In the Fall of 2006, I moved to Charleston, South Carolina. Even though I had been designing websites for about a decade, my entry into becoming a true Product Designer came in 2007, when I took a job at a SaaS company in the Healthcare space. I loved it. The deep thought and iterative collaboration that goes into a single screen or workflow had me hooked. I am most happy when I can think deeply and, ultimately, solve a problem.
Since high school, design has always been a part of who I am and what I do. Design is the tool and the craft that has allowed me to meet so many wonderful, smart people, continue to play and release music and keeps me searching for beauty and inspiration.

I recently took an Enneagram Personality Test and came back a Four with a Three wing. Pretty spot on...flaws and all.
Some of my favorite things include:

Music (obviously): Pearl Jam, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Run the Jewels, The Killers, Outkast The Menzingers and Bruce Springsteen are small a handful of my favorite artists.
Film: Inside Llewyn Davis, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, American Beauty, The Beach, Joker, The Crow and Great Expectations are some of my all-time favorite movies.
Other: Surfing(even though I don't do it nearly enough), skateboarding (even though I'm awful at it), reading, coffee, craft beer, learning and exploring.
I am always looking to level-up my design game and try to focus my efforts on things that interest and inspire me, including: healthcare as a human right, entertainment (film and music), anti-racism, animal rights, sustainability, inclusivity, plant-based nutrition, and education.
